What’s a visit to the zoo without an animal encounter or two? Zookeepers select different animals each day for interactions with the public, gathering at places safe for the animals and humans, including the Central Food Village and Kampung Sumatra. The keepers educate visitors on how to handle, feed, and care for the animals while giving them a chance to sometimes pet or observe them from closer quarters.

Feed the animals

Visitors can feed the animals in the zoo for a small fee. You can check out the current list and fees here. Tame animals like goats and deer can be fed without supervision by the zoo authorities. However, animals such as tigers and lions are fed under the guidance of the zoo’s trained team.
